July 12th 2022, exactly six months ago, we launched Tribapay. We’ve now been running Tribapay non-stop for 6 months, or about 170 days, or 4,080 hours or 244,800 minutes.

First thing, we want to thank everyone that uses Tribapay for adopting our product so early and trusting us with Billions of Naira in transaction volume. It is because of your patronage and trust that we exist today.

We have been able to process more than 150,000 unique transactions, since we launched. The last time I wrote in October, we had completed just 40,000+ unique transactions. That means we have added about 110,000+ transactions within that 3 month period.

People have spent a combined 1 Million+ minutes using Tribapay on web and mobile. Our website has been hit more than 220,000+ times, which is a serious increase from October when I reported 90,000+ hits.

In October, I reported about 13,000+ app downloads, now it is somewhere above 30,000. That’s about 17,000 more downloads, with even less marketing.

When I last wrote in October, I reported a transaction volume of $1.6m, today our transaction volume is so much higher. The gap is so so much, but I’ve chosen to not disclose it for this period.

Tribapay Wins Best Fintech.

In December, we were awarded best fintech startup of the year by the Lagos State Centre for Innovation. The event was attended by the Governor of Lagos, Mr Jide Sanwoolu (ably represented), MD of Microsoft Nigeria, many state commissioners and other dignitaries.

Me and Anu holding the award.

It was not all rosy though, in late December we unfortunately had our first downtime, in which most of our users were not able to access the app for like 10 hours. I want to take this opportunity to apologize for that day again and to say that we will try all we can to limit such things from recurring.

Once again, thank you to everyone for trusting us and using our product. We love you all!
