I checked my watch today and we’ve been running Tribapay for 3 months. How time flies. I remember vividly when myself and Anu started talking about a possible move into the much crowded fintech space and what we could possibly do differently.

I remember buying the domain on a Friday evening in March, 2022. Now it’s been hit over 90k times, by as many as 22,000 different people. It’s really gratifying.

We’ve had an insane first 3 months. About 13,000 people downloaded our app across Android and IOS and about 22,000 people visited our website. These people transacted volumes worth about $1.6 million on our platform across about 40,000 unique transactions.

We became revenue generating and in fact profitable. Many startups never smell profitability all through their existence, gratefully we are. I won’t mention the exact figure, but we’ve done well in the tens of thousands of Dollars in revenue in just one quarter.

We grew our team members also. We started as a team of 6, but we’ve now grown to 11 active team members and 3 silent team members. From engineering to compliance to design to marketing, we’ve been able to get some of the best and most responsible hands in the market to work with us.

We also grew our product offerings. When we launched on July 12th, we had a very MVP-ish product, but today our product has pretty much evolved into a solid product.

We launched products like Tribapay Lite (for Android users who have low storage devices), we added biometric login, USD cards, referral programs. In short, we wrote a lot of code in this first quarter.

We had several online and offline events where we spoke to our users about what we should work on and what they wanted us to remove if possible. We had Google Meet events, Twitter events, physical events in Lagos and in Abuja. All these we did to learn more about building what our users wanted.

A big Thank You to everyone who has made our first 3 months very successful! We hope for several more quarters, years and even decades of serving you.
